The environment
The Italian insurance market is almost total prerogative
of insurance intermediaries (Agents and Brokers). Each of them has some
points of force and others of weakness.
The Agents represent, for Clients, following advantages:

- a relationship continuity, if not quite of fidelity, for
the Clients
·
- fast contracts emission and, often, the way to quick
finalize claims
Unfortunately, they pay some objective limitations as:

- to commercialize only products of the represented Companies

to accept Companies underwriting policy
Instead, the Brokers, especially International firms, can
count on:

- high and deepened acknowledgement in particular fields of business
·

greater freedom of action
·

high entrepreneurial attitudes

competence in setting tailor made products up
On the other side they have some weaknesses too as:

- insufficient capillarity
·

divergence with the interests of the insurers

volubility in markets choice
Brief
History
A group of Agents, to the aim to widen the range of the
services to offer to Clients, decides to search new insurance solutions to
integrate their represented Companies traditional offers. To reach that
goal the founder group constitutes (September 2001) Galassia Network that
obtained important results since from the start-up improving the number of
members and the bulk of available products. Galassia set up an activity of
recruitment of new members looking for (and accepting only) intermediaries
with high profile and proven professionalism. To date Galassia count more
than 80 members in Italy (mainly located in the North of Italy)
The Idea
Galassia
would like to improve the Agents operating ways giving them more chances
and business:

exclusive and dedicated products;

- capillarity;
·
- free chosen of markets and suppliers;
·
- investment ability (the force of the group);
·
- continuity of relationships
with Customers and Suppliers in the respect of mutual independence
Galassia aim to be an independent network able to
offer complete and evolutes insurance solutions to the Members for their
Clients by using sophisticated IT solutions with the full satisfaction of
all the players been involved. Entrepreneurial abilities, culture of the
service, ethics of the responsibility: those are principles we
continuously look for in order to guarantee the creation of value for the
Network, the Member and their Customers. For this reason each Member is
carefully selected and must have unavoidable professional and human
requirements: morally right, professionally prepared, technologically well
skilled and predisposed to the innovation. He must share the network
policy and able and available to conjugate the own interests with those of
the whole group.
